West Brom keeper Ben Foster has taken to Twitter to condemn the events in the last minute at Stamford Bridge by calling it a 'load of s***'.

Chelsea midfielder Ramires appeared to fling himself to the floor when he ran into Steven Reid and referee Andre Marriner then awarded the hosts a penalty.

The West Brom players were incensed and ugly scenes then followed as the referee failed to keep the match under control.

Reid, the defender in question, later tweeted: 'Little old West Brom... Proud of all the boys today.'

As for West Brom manager Steve Clarke, he was apoplectic with rage after what he saw as extremely poor refereeing.

'It was no penalty - that's my take', Clarke said. 'That's five points my team have lost because of late decisions on penalties.

'It is ridiculous to have to take it because it wasn't a penalty. Instead of being up close to the top six, we are in mid-table.

'I'm sad and I'm angry but I'm also very proud because we were magnificent today. We deserved the three points and I'm proud of my players
