Nigeria President Goodluck Jonathan has approved the removal of Mrs. Aisha Umar as his Special Assistant on Social Development.
According to a statement released on Sunday in Abuja by Mr. Sam Nwaobasi, the Special Assistant (Media) to the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Senator Anyim Pius Anyim with Ref. No: PPR/OSGF/PR/02 did not however give any reason for the action.
According to what he said, the termination of Umar’s appointment was “with effect from the November 25, 2013.”
The President had previously fired three months ago the Minister of Youth Development, Inuwa Abdulkadir, over the mishandling of the National Youth Council of Nigeria’s elections in Makurdi and Minna which resulted in the factionalisation of NYCN.
The President has also aced his Special Adviser on National Assembly Matters, Mrs. Joy Emordi and his Special Adviser on the New Partnership for Africa’s Development, Dr. Tunji Olagunju.
